Skin Journal Terms of Use

These terms apply when you download or use Skin Journal. By using the app, you agree to these terms and to the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play terms.

What Skin Journal provides

Skin Journal is a cosmetic skincare routine tracker. It lets you keep a local photo journal, automatically scan products or food context, add notes, and optionally request AI-generated estimates with Premium. Features may change as the service is improved.

Not medical advice

Skin Journal is not a medical device. AI output can be incomplete or wrong and is not a diagnosis, treatment or dietary recommendation, or a substitute for professional medical or nutrition advice. Seek qualified medical help for a skin condition, concerning change or health decision.

Your content and AI processing

You retain ownership of photos, scanned context and notes you add. You give Skin Journal and its service providers permission to process that content only as needed to provide the feature you request. Content is sent to OpenAI when you actively request product scanning, food scanning or Premium AI analysis. You can save photo-journal entries without requesting AI analysis.

Premium subscriptions

• The price, billing period and any trial are displayed before purchase and confirmed by your app store.
• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through that store before renewal.
• You can restore an eligible purchase in the app and manage or cancel it through the store where you subscribed.
• Refunds and billing disputes are handled under the applicable store's rules. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Premium is subject to a reasonable daily AI-analysis allowance shown in the app.

Acceptable use

Do not use Skin Journal to violate law, infringe another person's rights, submit content you do not have permission to use, probe or disrupt the service, evade usage limits, or automate abusive requests. Access may be limited or withdrawn when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service.

Availability and responsibility

The app and AI service are provided on an "as available" basis. Keep your own backups of anything important. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes

These terms may be updated when the app, law or service providers change. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply, subject to any notice or consent required by law.
